Thankful...

I'm actually surprised at myself for not having joined most everyone on Facebook in stating what they are thankful for each day.  I am such a grateful person that I really should have participated.  But instead, at this point, I have decided to go ahead and make a post about it.  To share a glimpse of all the blessings that I am thankful for.  I did a thankful post not long ago, but I really felt it was a good time of year to express my gratefulness again...And I never run out of things to be thankful for.  But when trying to create another, I kept repeating myself.  So instead of repeating myself, I will insert that post. And add a few things here and there...

I am thankful for God.
That He sent His one and only son, Jesus,
to die on the cross for our sins.
That He is in complete control.
That if we believe and trust in Him,
we have nothing to worry about.
That Jesus Christ is my Lord and Savior.
And that I'm proud to share that every chance I have.

I am thankful for my family.
For my parents that raised me to be who I am today.
Who I have been able to stay so close to into adulthood,
to be friends with them.
And who willingly watch our children for us to go to work.
For my sister who is one of my very best friends.
For my in-laws, grandparents, aunts and uncles, and cousins.
For all who have been supportive.

I am thankful for my husband.
That we met at such a young age,
fell in love and have had so many beautiful years together.
That he has devoted his life to me and our children.
That he treats me like a princess,
how so many women only dream of being treated.
That he tells me loves me throughout the day everyday,
and that I know he means it with all his heart.
That he has taught me so much about life.
About the importance of family,
and how to worry less about the small things.
That he is a better Daddy to our girls than I could ever ask for.
That we are best friends.
That we still get excited to see each other everyday,
and that we look forward to spending the rest of our lives together.

I am thankful for both of my daughters.
For showing me a kind of love that I never knew existed.
For loving me unconditionally.
For being the center of our world.

I am thankful that I have been blessed with the ability to have two children.
That they are healthy.
That being a parent to them is so rewarding,
the best gift in the world.

I am thankful for my job.
The flexibility that it has.
The financial support it provides for my family.
But that it still allows me to be a mom first.
That I get to work with my mom everyday.
And that my other co-workers are family to me.

I am thankful for my church.
For the excitement that I get going there every Sunday
because our church is that awesome.

For my small group.
For my courage to step out of my comfort zone and join.
For all the wonderful ladies that I am gradually getting to know.
Who are all so sweet and caring.
And I enjoy getting together with every week.
And who I know God has put in my life for a reason.

I am thankful for Christian radio.
That I can listen and sing along to songs that glorify God
all the time.
That it inspires me and focuses me on what is important.

I am thankful for my art.
That I have a love for painting and creating.
That I have the patience and ambition to do something with it.
And for the support of others that I have had in doing so.

I am thankful for my health.
My husbands health.
My home. My car.
My faith. My freedom.

And thankful for the little things.
Like Keira's random "I love you Momma"s.
The sweet hugs, the snuggling, the kisses that I get from my girls.
How their faces light up when we get home from work.
For my warm cup of coffee every day.
For doggie Prozac.
The sweet texts my husband sends me to remind me how much he loves me.
The amount of time that we get to spend with all of our family
because we are blessed to all live so close.

I am thankful that I am who I am.
I may be shy and reserved and often feel like I'm different.
I may not have many friends.
And I may not have an impact on many people, if any.
But I know that God has put me here,
made me who I am,
and He has me exactly where He wants me for some purpose.
For His purpose.

I am thankful that I can see the big picture.
That I know that everything happens for a reason.
That I have less worry than I ever have because of this.
That I realize that this life is simply a brief passing through to our eternal life.
A journey preparing us for Heaven.
A chance to build our character and our relationship with Jesus Christ.

I am thankful for my morals and beliefs.
For my outlook on life and beyond.
Thankful that faithfamily, and love are the absolute most important things to me.

I seriously could go on and on.  I am so truly blessed.  I am overwhelmed by the amount of gratefulness that I feel in my heart every day.  I can't comprehend why I have been so blessed when I am so undeserving of it.  But our God is so awesome, and I thank Him 100% for the beautiful life I have been blessed with.

Life is not perfect.  In sharing this, I don't want to portray that we live a perfect life.
Living imperfectly is what life is all about.  It's how we learn and grow.
But I think it's important to high-light the good.  And appreciate it.
We choose to high-light what matters to us.  We try have a positive outlook on life and try to look at the big picture. To embrace the good and most importantly, be grateful for all that what we have been blessed with.

I hope you can, in some way, be inspired to do the same.

To reflect on all your blessings and be grateful.

Happy Thanksgiving!!
